My name is Melissa and I am one of the editors of The Gray Spaces Blog! I’ve always wanted to get into blogging but I guess life happens! Finally the time has come to get off my butt, well I’m sitting at the moment writing this, to get this started. The reason why now is the time to create this is because as I get older, I feel things are not as black and white on how to “run” your life. I find myself standing in stores that I shopped at in my twenties saying, “I might be too old for this store”, “Where should I shop”, “how do I cover up these wrinkles” and so on. I know I’m not the only one. Jen, my co-editor/my ride or die friend, and myself found ourselves asking the same questions. We figured, why not start a lifestyle blog and try to figure this stuff out, ha! We knew we can’t be the only ones asking these questions!
I’m also a wife and a mom of two little girls, ages almost four and a one year old! Becoming a mom, has added a layer of complexity to all things life. Not only trying to figure out what to wear but how to maintain the day-to-day grind. You know, like cleaning, meal planning, laundry, more laundry, tantrums, activities…you get the idea. I also work full-time so there’s that too. Did I mention laundry and meal planning. I’m a pretty laid back person and my day-to-day work wear is causal and by causal I mean pretty much what you would wear when you are not working except for sweats! I wear a lot of jeans, casual dresses and on the weekend the standard girl uniform…leggings, joggers, sweats and tee’s! Don’t forget all the cozy cardigans!
Anyway, my mission is to help those who are needing some tips, laughs, cries and overall life help! If you are ever interested in a specific topic that you would like to be discussed here, shoot us an email! We’d love to hear from you!
