Who doesn’t love a holiday that is all about love? Yes, I know it can be a little overrated and sometimes a letdown, but I think you can make it what you want it to be. Romantic, silly, fun or all about the kids.
I remember when I was a kid how much I loved Valentine’s day. I couldn’t wait to make my box to collect the cards or when my mom finally took me to the store to pick out the cards for my friends, it was so exciting. Getting older it hasn’t become quite as important to me. My husband always does an excellent job of spoiling me or taking me to dinner, but we’ve never made a big deal of it. It’s always hard to come up with ideas or gifts, I mean we just wrapped up Christmas.
So, Mel and I thought we’d put together a list of items for your love or kiddo. We chose items from Amazon and Target to make things quick, easy and accessible.
Hope this helps you make your 2019 Valentine’s Day a little easier XOXO
For the Kids…
Our kids love books, so it’s always fun getting books that have a theme. There are some really great Valentine’s ones. We also enjoy getting them dressed up for a holiday. Target has some really cute affordable options. Here are multiple gift ideas. And don’t forget about the candy! It’s always great to toss in some fun candy (Valentine’s candy is my second favorite, with Easter coming in first).
For Him or Her…
We found some items that work for both the guys and gals. Pair the chocolates with their favorite wine, liquor or beer. Package the fondue sets with the ingredients for some chocolate fondue with the sides (strawberries, gram crackers, rice crispy treats, bananas etc). With the mule set add a nice bottle of vodka, some ginger beer and limes. Matching coffee mugs, how sweet. Add some coffee or tea and honey.
For Her…
What lady doesn’t love flowers? They always make me smile and nothing better than fresh flowers in your home or your office desk. And guess what guys, you can buy flowers on AMAZON! Woo hoo, doesn’t get any easier than that. Below are a few options, but there are lots of varieties to choose from. Here are a few other things to make your lady smile and let her know you are thinking about her.
For Him…
Guys are always a little harder to buy for. Cologne and their favorite liquor or beer is always a great idea. There are still some fun ideas on our men’s holiday gift guide that would transition well to Valentine’s Day. Here are a couple of fun finds from Amazon. I am loving this magnetic wrist band for screws and nails. I cannot count the number of times my husband drops a nail while trying to hang things and has to stop everything to either find it or get another one. This solves that problem! Facial hair is quite the trend on our guys these days. This beard kit looks like it has everything to keep them all groomed up.
For the House…
Target has some really cute Valentine accessories that we just had to share. Really loving the wreath and garland. Those will also transition nice to spring and summer.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
