With all our trips to Disney World, we find each time there is something we should have packed or bought before the trip. I thought it would be helpful to give you some tips on what to pack for Disney World. Some of course are obvious, but there may be a few things on here that you haven’t thought of.
Stroller…
If you have kids that are still in the “I can’t walk anymore, my legs hurt” phase, bringing a stroller is a must. You can rent strollers there, but I feel it’s quite pricey (around $15 a day for a single and $30 for a double). By the time you paid for your rental you could have bought an umbrella stroller for a quarter of the price. I know they can be a pain to travel with, but remember if you are using the Magic Express, you can check it on the plane and have it go directly to the hotel.
Stroller Fan…

These came in handy when we went in the summer and early fall. It gets so hot and it’s nice to give the littles some air to cool down and when they aren’t using them it’s nice for you too! Here is the one we liked from Amazon.

Rain Cover for your Stroller…
I am not sure we have ever been to Disney World and it not rain at some point. When you are parking your stroller throughout the park, there really isn’t much cover. It’s best to have one on hand for that rainy day or quick shower.
Rain Jackets…
DO NOT forget your rain jacket or poncho. Yes, you can buy a poncho at the Disney shops, but save yourself some money. We always have ours on hand.
Cooling Cloths…
We bought these for the first-time last year for our June trip and boy were happy we did. It was so hot and these were great for a quick cool down. We scooped these up from Amazon

Shoes…
Comfy shoes are a MUST! There is so much walking to do. Cute sandals and flip flops are not functional. Save them for the pool or walking around your hotel. I’d recommend 2 pairs of running shoes and I’m serious about them being comfy (this is one of our best investments for a Disney trip). With the frequent rain, it’s important to have that second set pair because there is a chance one will get soaked at some point. Our favorite shoes are the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080.

Clothes…
Pack comfy clothes to the parks and even dinner. We may bring a couple extra things but you don’t need anything fancy. You will see a wide variety of outfits, but honestly it’s best to be comfortable. For us it’s all atheisure wear. If you are going during the summer or early fall months, I would have a second set of clothes for each day. It can get so hot that you may take a couple showers each day haha. No one likes to sit around in sweaty clothes and underwear.
Swimsuits…
This one might be obvious but just in case! All the resorts have fun pools, so don’t forget to pack the swimmies. They do have life jackets for small kids but we did pack our sons floaties just to be sure he had something.
Back Pack/Tote…
We take multiple items with us into the park, so it’s important to take a bag with you. We take in our own water bottles for the day, snacks, change of clothes for my 4 year old (you just never know), rain coats etc. Here are some awesome Disney backpacks by Loungefly.

Snacks…
We actually pack some of those small snacks packages from Costco to have on hand throughout the day. We also bring some granola bars for our breakfast in the morning. Nice to have those for the room and snacks can get expensive at the park.
Fanny Pack…
Ok, so I never thought this would be something I would even own after the 90s, but it really came in handy. I like having my phone on me when we go to get on a ride/leave the stroller parked. With phones getting bigger and pockets getting smaller or none available, it was the perfect solution. It is small enough that it can be kept on during rides and keeps small items with you (suncreen, lip gloss, cash, phone, autograph pen etc) Mel and I love the fawny packs from Fawn Design. Great colors and quality.

Some of the obvious items are sunglasses, hats and of course sunscreen. Wanted to write it down in case you use this as a checklist. These can often be forgotten.
And if you forget something…..there is always AMAZON. For our trip in September not only did we forget the rain shield for the stroller, but also the stroller fans. We just ordered them on Amazon to deliver to the hotel and in a day we were set! Mel also ordered a backpack and some diapers. Got to love Amazon to the rescue.
If you are not wanting to pack snacks, diapers etc. because they take up to much room there is an awesome store called Garden Grocer. You can place an order online. They have just about anything you’d get at you local grocer and it will be delivered to your hotel the day you get there. We always stock up on water and breakfast foods from Garden Grocer, it’s such an awesome resource. Check out https://www.gardengrocer.com/.
So far these are all my secrets. We are headed back to the Happiest Place on Earth in May. I will add to this list if I come up with some more tips. Happy packing!!
