We’ve both been saying we want to do more in Kansas City, but by the time we think about it, so many things have passed. We figured we are not alone in this, so thought we’d put some things together for all of us.
This will have activities for both family time, date night and possible fun with friends. We love our family time with the kids, but always fun (and needed) adult time is in order. Here is a list of activities and a few of restaurants we’ve been wanting to try.
Such a fun event for kids, and even adults. We went a couple of years a good and sure had fun climbing in the big tractors. Entry is FREE with a minimum donation of a new, unwrapped toy or cash offering for Toys for Tots.
Who doesn’t love an event full of good food, drinks and live music! This event sounds so much fun. Good news is, this can be a date night, family fun or fun with friends event. GA tickets are $20, Children under 12 are free
We have never heard of this one but looks like a lot of fun. Good for all ages. Enjoy arts, food, drinks and the PIXAR movie Coco. Click on the link below for more details.
This has been on my list each summer. We are going to make this happen in August. They have fun themes every weekend, so just click on the link below to see which one sounds the best to you. This one is for adults only. Must be 21 and over.
Restaurants to Try…
We CANNOT wait to try this one. Looks like a fun place for a family meal, friends gathering or date night. Also like the fact that it is out south. Menu looks tasty and can’t wait to try some of their special drinks. Just an FYI it’s closed on Mondays.
Cute local brewery in Olathe. One fun thing about this brewery is they bring in different food truck for your food options. It really makes your visit to this brewery different every time. They also have nice patio on those nice days. Can’t wait to check it out.
We have heard so many good things about this restaurant and the drinks look AMAZING. Date night, here we come!
I think Mel will be sitting this one out, but I am stoked. For all you Walking Dead fans, get ready for some Zombie fun. The attic space of KC’s Union Station has been turned into an intense zombie laser tag. Survive KC is open 3 to 11 p.m. Fridays, noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 9 p.m. Sundays on the sixth and seventh floors of Union Station, 30 W. Pershing Road. Tickets are available at a kiosk on the main level. Cost is $27.99 for adults; $15 for children under 13, who must be accompanied by an adult. Click link for more details.
Fun indoor playground for the kiddos. Always nice to find a new indoor play place when it rains and as the temperatures start to cool down. Looks super fun!
I can’t believe this is something we have not done yet. Just go for a fun ride, or take to museums, the riverfront or some bars. All ages are bound to have fun on this. Can’t wait to take the ride!
Well, I know what we have going on for August, what about all of you? Hope you enjoyed some of our picks and maybe even added one of these to your calendar for the month. Stay tuned for September.
