With all the meal planning that we do, we always try to eat out at least once a week. I mean, momma needs a break sometime! Typically we order it especially in the colder months but sometimes it’s nice to get out and be served, especially a nice glass of wine.
Although sometimes it can be a task in-itself to go out with kids mainly because they are confined to a chair and you end up entertaining them instead of drinking that glass of wine. So we are always in search for areas and restaurants that can help with the entertainment.
We recently heard about Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Prairie Fire from a few friends. One, who doesn’t love pizza and two, they have pizza dough for the kids to play with while they wait for their food! The food was really good and we were actually able to sit and enjoy our drinks while the kids colored and played with pizza dough. I admit, I played with the dough as well and got in trouble from my oldest. PS They have a great Happy Hour!
Prairie Fire has tons of fun shops and things to do with kids! Before we went to dinner we went to Fat Brain Toys to let the kids play while I did a little looking around for birthday gift ideas. Our kids love Fat Brain Toys, I mean, what kid doesn’t love new toys.
After dinner, we walked a couple store over to Decadent to let the kids pick out dessert to take home. So many delicious options! Of course they picked the tallest chocolate cake!
The kids had so much fun running around Prairie Fire and getting their belly’s full with yummy food. I love when we can go and have a fun night out. I can’t say it was 100% tear-free or even tantrum free but we all had a great evening!
