We’ve talked clothes, trips, anxiety/stress…now let’s have some fun. Every season we like to find some fun new drinks to try. Remember our Eggnog blind taste test during the holidays? Haha! It’s always fun to try new drink recipes or the fancy pre-made ones in the stores. I feel like everyone is coming out with a new “it” drink these days.
On to a few of our favs…
Beer Fashioned…
I found THIS recipe off of Pinterest. I love this take on an old fashion and it is delicious. I made this for a dinner group party and it was a huge hit. Very easy to make.
Rose’ Sorbet Mimosa…
These are really refreshing, simple and pretty. I use Chandon or Mumm and rosemary for recipe!
Use a melon scooper to get a ball shape of raspberry sorbet. Place that in champagne glass, top with sparkling rose’ and add fresh rosemary. The rosemary is really pretty for serving but kind of gets in the way while trying to drink.
Cucumber Mint Seltzer…
We love a good cucumber drink. Ketel One’s Botanical Cucumber Mint does not disappoint. Make a simple seltzer drink with this vodka at home.
- 2 oz Cucumber Mint Vodka
- 6oz Lime flavored seltzer water – we like Spindrift lime
- Fresh lemon and lime
- Ice
- Fresh mint optional
Fill your glass with ice. Squeeze in a couple of lime and lemon wedges. Pour in your vodka and top of with your favorite seltzer water. Garnish with fresh mint. Nice, refreshing and lower on the calorie intake 😉
Bullfrogs…
For a fun drink pool side with friends, this one is a must. If you like margaritas and beer, you’ll love this. Do be careful, these are quite strong 😉
- 2 light beers
- Tequila
- 1 can frozen limeade concentrate (thawed)
- 1/2 can frozen orange juice concentrate (thawed)
- 1 can of sprite
In a large beverage dispenser, pour in thawed can of limeade and 1/2 the OJ. Use the limeade can and fill with tequila. Add that to the mix. Pour in the sprite, two beers, stir and add ice. Grab some solo cups and enjoy. This mixture makes about 6 cups, so double if you want to serve more.
And…
If none of these work out for you, there is always White Claws. By far the best hard seltzer drinks we’ve tried so far!
Can’t wait to stir up some new favorites for fall. Be sure to let us know if you try any of these out. Cheers everyone!
