It’s…..Turkey time!! And what pairs better with Turkey than cranberry sauce…a fancy cocktail. This month we wanted to put together drinks that might go well with your Thanksgiving gathering or Friendsgiving.
We have really enjoyed trying out new cocktails each month. Hope you all are enjoying it as much as we have. Rounding up only four for this month was really tough. There were so many good ones too choose from. But, we are tasked with this hard job of “what should we make for you all?”
Without further adieu here is the November round up…
Cranberry French 75
Mel loves a good French 75 and adding some cranberry gives it that transition to fall and Thanksgiving. I found this recipe from NOMAGEDDON. I also plan to make the cranberry simple syrup recipe they made. Seems easy and I’m sure will make it that much better. I’m going to share a secret though…I do not like gin. I’ve tried it many times, but just can’t do it. So, I am going to make a vodka version and Mel will make a gin version.
Apple Butter Sparklers
Since I already have a few jars of apple butter from Half Baked Harvest, finding another cocktail that uses apple butter was like hitting the jackpot. I found this one from myrecipes. She uses Prosecco, apple butter and lemon juice. Sounds wonderful to me. Can’t wait to try it.
Blood Orange Bourbon Sour Cocktail
Of course I have to have a bourbon cocktail for Thanksgiving. I love blood oranges and this is the time of year you start to see them in the store. They are so pretty and I bet they are a perfect pair with bourbon. Head over to Our Salty Kitchen for this recipe.
Slow Cooker Cranberry-Orange Mulled Wine
The smell of hot mulled wine reminds me of growing up in Germany. This is something you could smell in the German Christmas markets and often my mom would make it at home. The cranberry version takes us into Thanksgiving and prepares us for entering into our Christmas Holiday. I can’t wait to make this one and have these smells traveling throughout my house. Found this recipe at Kitchen Treaty.
Hope you enjoy our picks for this month. Let us know if you make any of these beauties and what you think.
xoxo
