Winter is still here even though it’s been 50 degrees off and on. For those days where you are trapped in the house because of the snow or really anytime, you need to have a game plan so you all don’t go nuts ha!
My kids love crafts but sometimes finding the craft then getting everything for it is a lot of work. Last year Pepin received a craft box as a gift and the kids had so much fun with it. The nice thing about the craft box is that everything is numbered and super easy especially if you are not craft savvy.
Lego kits are another fun activity. Pep has been loving the Lego’s and the kits. For the most part, she is good about following the instructions and putting the pieces together. As for Engel, whatever her sister is doing, she wants to be part of it. Obviously she can’t follow the instructions so she has a bigger set of Legos to play with and build what she wants to.
Some other fun things to do is simply giving the kids crafts they make using their hands and imagination. That’s as simple as some paper and glitter glue, felt balls, pipe cleaners and whatever else we have on hand. The kids also love playing with Wikki Sticks and coming up with creations. Wikki Sticks are also great for car travel. You can twist up these color sticks and then take them apart.
Now don’t forget the wine or a cocktail for yourself. See our must recent How About a Cocktail post if you need some drink ideas.
Let us know what your favorite activities to do with the kids when you are stuck at home!
