Bring on Spring, St. Patty’s day and March Madness. March is full of fun activities and the weather will start to warm up, which we are so ready for. We rounded up some fun activities and places to check out this month.
In January and February we highlighted some coffee shops to check out. This month we are going to highlight some brunch places to try. We don’t do brunch a lot, but it is something we do enjoy. Now we have a reason to go try some new ones and share our experience with you all.
Events…
Uncorked: KC Wine Festival – March 7th
Love wine, food and music? Then this event is perfect for you. Sample wines from all across the world and enjoy your time at Union Station. There are two packages to choose from ranging from $55-$65. Cocktail attire is suggested, so get fancied up and head on out for a fun date night or night out with friends.
2020 Kansas City St Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl – March 14th
St. Patrick’s Day is always so much fun in KC. Unfortunately it’s on a Tuesday this year, but don’t worry there is plenty going on the weekend before. If you enjoy a good bar crawl with your friends this one looks super fun. The bars participating are in Waldo and Martini Corner. Tickets range from $10 – $20.
Disney on Ice – March 26th – 29th
Looking for a fun activity for the family? Head out to the Sprint Center and see your favorite Disney characters on the ice. We’ve only done this once before, but really enjoyed it. This will be an event we will be attending this month.
Brunch Spots to try…
Plate KC – Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Brunch buffet is $26 and bottomless mimosas for $12
Cafe’ Sebastienne – Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
The Cafe’ is located in Kemper Museum. I’ve had lunch in here before and it’s a really pretty setting. Their brunch has been voted best brunch restaurants in America by OpenTable Diners in 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, and 2019!
The Wooden Spoon – Saturday & Sunday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Menu looks great and full of the breakfast comfort foods. However if you are looking to have a bloody Mary or mimosa with your breakfast, this is not the place for you. Looks like a great place for the family.
Activities…
Check out your local Lowes for fun DIY projects for you or the kids. March 14th has a DIY for kids making a table top basketball hoop. This would be so much fun for our kids.
Tom’s Town Distillery and Tour
Take a tour of Tom’s Town Distillery and get a tasting of their spirits for $10. Afterwards, stay for a bite to each and specialty cocktail.
Want to meet some super cute Alpaca’s and learn more about them? Sign up for a tour at Manna Meadows in Bonner Springs to see these sweet animals. Such a fun outing for the family.
Well…that is all folks. Let us know if you try any of these out or if there is anything you’d like us to check out. Happy March.
xoxo
