How is it June already??? We’ve been seeing so many amazing cocktails to try for the summer. From blended, to fruity, to refreshing…we feel like there is something for everyone.
For the first time ever, we’ve actually had time to make a few of these to ensure that they are as good as they look. We do have to say, this is one of the most fun blog posts that we do. We hope you enjoy it and much as we do researching, writing, making and drinking ha!
Basil Smash Pina Colada
I found this recipe from one of our favorites, Half Baked Harvest. Everything Tieghan makes, is amazing. We love following her on Instagram, so check out her page. I made this drink over the weekend and it is AMAZING. I enjoy a Pina Colada every now and then, but I find they can be too sweet sometimes. This is not the case for this blended magic. It’s not too sweet at all. Imagine if a Pina Colada and a Mojito got mixed together. So delicious. This will be a summer pool time staple!
Boozy Frose’
Ever since we had the Frose’s at Disney World we have been hooked and trying to figure out how to make them. I have had a few failed attempts, but Mel found this one that looks like it could be good! She found this one from Iowa Girl Eats. Seems simple enough, you just need to make sure you give yourself the time to freeze the Rose’. It will require overnight. The recipe also calls for making a strawberry simple syrup. Very simple ingredients and process, just requires a little work ahead of time. I will update you all on how it goes!
Watermelon Rose’ Paloma
Another fantastic one from Half Baked Harvest. Mel made this one over the Memorial Day Weekend and has been raving about it. I have got to have her make me one stat. This drink is packed with things we love, Rose’, watermelon and Tequila. Sounds refreshing and looks beautiful. This is also good with vodka if you don’t have Tequila on hand or don’t care for it #collegedays. Also instead of lime, use a splash of Simple Limeade.
Big Batch Peach Bourbon Slush
Found this recipe from The Roasted Root. My hubby just picked up a ton a fresh peaches, so was trying to find a recipe to use those and this one popped up. I love that it’s a large batch so you can make for a group and easy to cut in half for a smaller serving. Also excited about a bourbon drink that is blended. If you are not a bourbon person you could use rum or even vodka. Can wait to make this one on a nice hot day!
Well, that wraps up June. Let us know if you try any of these out and what you think. Can’t wait to see what we find for July!
xoxo
