It’s August!!! We’d say back-to-school month, but….it’s looking like that is September or not at all, just kidding parents. They will go to school this fall right?? All jokes aside, we all need some light hearted fun and cocktails, more cocktails.
This months line up looks so good and refreshing. We wanted to find drinks that may lean more on the healthy side. I know healthy and alcohol doesn’t necessarily go together, but we wanted to find some lower calorie drinks and made with fresh ingredients.
We promise this month we will do some live cocktail making on IGTV. We were planning on doing some this July, but time just got away from us. Not that we weren’t making cocktails during this time, haha.

Skinny Pineapple and Jalapeno Infused Vodka Cocktail…
We have both been obsessing over jalapeño drinks this summer. Something about a little spice in a nice refreshing drink hits the spot. Found this one from Physical Kitchness. This one will take a little bit of planning as you need to make the jalapeño vodka. Good news is that the process only takes over night. I’ve been into making infused vodka this summer, so this is a new one to try out. I am linking this awesome kitchen tool I found to remove the seeds out of the jalapeño. It’s pretty slick. If you don’t have one, a spoon also does the trick.
Blueberry Lavender Vodka Spritzer…
This one caught my eye, because it looks absolutely beautiful. I also liked it, because it could be made it a large batch. Making individual cocktails can be time consuming and if you have more than one person you are serving, it’s nice to have a large batch recipe. Found this one from Kithcn. There are two steps that need to be done before you can put this one together. You will need to make a blueberry lavender simple syrup and freeze blueberries in ice cubes. This will be a show stopper.
Blueberry Mojitos…
I had a request from one of my friends for a Mojito recipe. She has a ton of fresh mint to use, so I wanted to find her a good one. Found this recipe from All Day I Dream About Food (love this blog name. I hear you sister). Blueberries and fresh mint, I am all about this. Can’t wait to make it for your all. It sounds AMAZING!
Lighter Watermelon Mojitos…
I love watermelon and it has been so good this summer. I too also have a lot of fresh mint, so wanted to add one more that calls for mint. Found this one from The Clean Eating Couple. Sounds refreshing and seems simple enough to make. This will be good sitting by the pool and catching some rays. Also linking this life saving tool to slice watermelon, game changer!
