“Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, silver-white winters that melt into springs, these are a few of my favorite things.” Now that I’ve got you happy and singing, I wanted to share a super fun evening I had with my favorite ladies.
Buying gifts for the holiday is always so much fun. It’s even more fun when you are buying for your gal pals. They tend to be easier to shop for, because let’s be honest…most things you buy for them are things you already own or things you want for yourself. So I thought, you know wouldn’t it be fun to get together and share our favorite things with each other for the holidays?
The idea is to think about all the awesome things you purchased and discovered this year. Could be beauty products, snacks, clothing item, accessories, drinks…really the skies the limit. Then you all get together, or event make it a fun night out at your favorite restaurant and exchange with all your besties.
There are multiple ways you can do this based on your budget or the amount of people you have. For my group, there were just four of us. So we decided to set a budget that we would spend on the gift/gifts and then you times that by 3. For example: if you wanted to do a $50 gift, the total on your spend would be $150, because you would be getting everyone that $50 gift. What is super cool, is that you’ll be walking away with 3 awesome $50 gifts from your ladies.
Another option is to set a limit you want to spend and then split it up between the people coming. So if we decided on $75, we would spend $25 on each person. Again, it would be the same gift.
Other option would be for everyone to bring one gift (set the price on the gift) and then people would get to pick white elephant style. This would work better in a larger group setting.
We decided to celebrate our favorite things at a restaurant. If you do decide to do this, we would recommend getting a large table, no booth haha. We were packed in with all of our giant bags. I do have to say we were the envy of the restaurant. We had multiple people wanting to join in on our fun.
There are so many ways to do this and it’s so much fun. We had the best time and all walked away with some amazing stuff. The biggest surprise for me is that there weren’t any duplicate items. Can’t wait to keep trying out all of my goodies.
Happy Holidays!
